Design Team Time. This round at Cardz 4 Guyz (#340), we have a masculine Love related theme. I have combined the theme with our new Hand Stamped Sentiments (#431) Sketch.

Additional Challenges: Color Dare (#586) for my choice of colors and Double Trouble (#159) who has a complimentary theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock dry-embossed with the On-Line Exclusive Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Triple Strips: (½” x 4¼”) Balmy Blue, Garden Green and Azure Afternoon Heart patterned pieces of paper from the Color Collections Designer Series Paper packs. Subtles, Regals and Brights. (Colors are similar to Periwinkle, Jade and Bluebird).
- Shapes – Hearts: Basic White, Garden Green, Azure Afternoon and Balmy Blue cardstock scraps.
- Hearts from the retired Something New to Love stamp set were stamped. Flowers – Garden Green ink on White; X’s & O’s – Azure Afternoon ink on White; Dots – Balmy Blue ink on White; and Outline – Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder onto the three colors.
- The colored cardstock Outline Hearts were fussy-cut with Paper Snips to create a colored Heart Mat.
- The colored Stamped Hearts were closely trimmed with Paper Snips so that they fit within the Outline Heart. The Azure Afternoon Heart was popped up with Dimensionals.
- Sentiment Flagged Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Love You, from the Lifetime of Love stamp set was stamped with Azure Afternoon ink.
- The sentiment was die-cut with the (2¾” x ½”) Stitched Double Flag die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Sentiment Flag was trimmed and tucked under the left Heart.
Loving the color selection. So not girly but still sentimental for a guy-centric valentine.
