High Five – Jammin’ at the Club

Welcome back!  Project Number 3 and my final card as Guest Designer with Double Trouble for January.

Getting the Band together for the Double Trouble (#158) challenge.

I selected the Sketch Saturday (#743) layout with slight variations to bring my idea(s) to life.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Pool Party cardstock.
  • The sentiment, High Five, from the Fun on Wheels stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the (1½”) Stitched Circle die from the Everyday Details Dies set.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Using a Brayer, Smoky Slate ink was applied to the SU Logo side of the embossing folder to add a little shadow detail to the Musical Score before putting it through the Cut & Emboss Machine.
• Twine / Ribbon Element: (12”) retired Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon was added to the background under the focal image panel.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 3”) White Scatter Dotted Black piece of patterned paper from the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Image Scene: Animals and Musical Instruments patterned piece of paper from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper pack were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Members of the Band were arranged and adhered to the Focal Panel with the Singing Turtle and the Flute Player Frog along with the Sentiment Circle popped up with Dimensionals.   

The Band is singing your praises!  A fun all occasion card for almost anyone.  High Five!
