Fun on Wheels – Look at You Go!

Design Team Time Combination.

This round at Cardz 4 Guyz (#339), we are looking for a Sports related theme that does not include any Ball type sports. I selected Bike Riding and the Fun on Wheels stamp set.

This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#430), we have a Color Palette of Night of Navy, Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock. A perfect set of colors for a masculine card.

I brought them together by selecting the Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#639) Layout also changing it out a little, giving it a bit of a masculine spin.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Triple Strips: (1” x 4¾”) Night of Navy, Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock Dashed patterned pieces of paper from the 2023 / 2024 Designer Series Assortment Paper Packs. (Neutrals, Brights and Regals).
• Sentiment Flagged Banner: (3⅞” x ¾”) Night of Navy cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Look at You Go, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was split apart with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool.
  • The Banner was flagged using the Banners Pick a Punch.
• Focal Image – Bicycle: (2½” x 3”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Bicycle was stamped with Night of Navy ink and die-cut with the coordinating die from the Fun on Wheels Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Bicycle was popped up with Dimensionals.

The colored Dashed Strips provide a sense of movement as a backdrop to the Bicycle, and it makes for a cool guy card.
