Heart Happiness – Heartfelt Love

Welcome back!  As per Snoopy, “It is a dark and stormy…day” and I am therefore taking refuge in the Studio.

Playing with the Atlantic Hearts (#559) Sketch with this week’s Color Throwdown (#775) suggestion and combining them with the Global Design Project (#427) Theme for a clean and simple, #simplestamping card.

Here is the result:

HEART HAPPINESS – HEARTFELT HEXAGON – AHSC559 – CTD775 – GDP427

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Cross Strips: (4⅛” x ¾”) Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Gorgeous Grape cardstock scraps.
  • Accent Mat: (2¾” x 3⅛”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Focal Image Panel: (2⅝” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Floral Heart image from the retired Heart Happiness stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors selected: Light and Dark Melon Mambo, Highland Heather and Old Olive.
  • Sentiment: Using Masking Paper, I covered a portion of one of the sentiment stamps from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set leaving only, lots of love, visible and inked the words with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The Masks were removed and the sentiment was added below the Floral Heart.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Focal image was popped up with Dimensionals.

A bright and pretty Love card suitable for many occasions.
