Welcome to Thursday! Catching up after running around and completing some chores. Much more fun to be in the Studio!
Playing with the Sketch Saturday (#741) Layout with a modification to the “Quilted” side. I selected the Color Hues (#78) Blues and the Farm Quest (#43) Quilt Theme. The Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper fit the bill so nicely.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Support Base: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Right Side Panel – Quilt: (2¾” x 5¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock die-cut with the retired Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die.
- Various scraps / strips of other Floral patterned pieces of paper were also die-cut with the same die.
- The Balmy Blue die-cut Frame was adhered to the Support Base and the die-cut Hexagon Chads were fitted in and on the Frame completing the Quilt pattern.
- Left Side Panel: (1½” x 5¼”) Navy of Navy Striped patterned piece of paper was adhered to the Support Base.
- The completed Background Panel was then “Stitched” with the retired Stitched Flower die from the retired Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies set.
- Sentiment Block Accent Mat: (2⅛” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- Sentiment Block: (1⅞” x ¾”) Night of Navy cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Translucent Florals stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.
What a fun card to make. Perfect for the friend or family member who quilts, sews or loves Country Chic.

I love the way you’ve combined the patterns and textures of the “quilt” pieces. The stitching on the left panel is subtle, but so lovely. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
