Rock & Roll – Way to Go

Design Team Time – Part 2.  Today I am combining the Cardz 4 Guyz (#338) Use Something New with the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#442) Sketch.  I have selected the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper as my something new and the sketch can be found on page 65 of the January to April Mini Catalog.

Additional challenge choices: Just Us Girls (#708) for the Colors and sharing with the Alphabet (Letter T) for Texture as the Designer Series Paper reflects lots of texture.

Here is the result:

STARRING YOU – ROCK & ROLL DSP – C4G338 – CT442 – JUGS708 – ACB Letter T – SUSS January 2024

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) White & Black Squares patterned piece of paper from the Rock and Roll Designer Series Paper pack colored with the Stampin’ Brayer and Granny Apple Green ink.
  • Foreground Panel: (3⅜” x 4⅝”) Black and White Splatter patterned piece of paper also from the Rock and Roll Designer Series Paper.
  • Focal Image – Guitar: Guitar Images patterned piece of paper also from the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper pack.
    • One Electric Guitar was colored with the retired Medium Coastal Cabana and the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.
    • The Guitar was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Label Accent: (3⅛” x 1”) Bermuda Bay cardstock scrap from my bin
  • Sentiment Label: (3” x ¾”) Starry Sky cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Way to Go, from the retired Starring You stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were arranged to resemble the sketch.  The Guitar was popped up with Dimensionals and three white Classic Mat Dots were added to the Sentiment Label in lieu of twine for a more masculine presentation.

A fun guy card for a guitar lover or a teenager.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
