Lifetime of Love – Happy Birthday

New Year’s Eve!  Do you have plans to party all night?  It is generally a quiet night in the House of J.  Wishing you all a happy new year…

Catching up on a few deadlines today.  Playing with the colors suggested by the Global Design Project team and chose to create a clean and simple card to share with the Annual Year End Anything Goes Tuesday Morning Sketches team.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Card Front: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Today is all about you Happy Birthday, from the Notes of Nature stamp set and the Roses from the Lifetime of Love stamp set were was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • The Roses were water colored with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush picking up the color from the Ink Pad Lids.  Colors chosen: Center Rose – Daffodil Delight, Side Roses – Petal Pink and Leaves – Pool Party.

A pretty delicate birthday card for that special friend.
