Holiday Cheer

Welcome back! Are you enjoying the Holiday week? I certainly hope so.

Today I am playing with TGIF (#452) to use Christmas Scraps, Just Add Ink (#684) to use the colors Red, Green and Gold, and the Atlantic Hearts (#557) Sketch.

I am also playing with Double Trouble (#155) asking for Die-Cut Elements and Embellishments as they partner with Use Your Stuff (#481) who is Wrapping up the season with their final challenge.

Here is the result:

GREETINGS THINLITS DIES – JOYFUL SPECIALITY DSP – TGIFC452 – JAI684 – AHSC557 – DT155 – UYS481

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
  • Background Panel Right-Side: (3” x 5¼”) Red/White/Gold Holly patterned piece of paper from the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Background Panel Left-Side: (2” x 5¼”) Red/Gold Musical patterned piece of paper from the same paper pack die-cut with one of the dies from the Basic Borders Dies set.
  • Left-Side Trim: Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper scrap left over from punching out a series of small Stars for another project.
  • Circle Shape: (2⅛”) Green/Gold Tartan patterned piece of paper, also from the same paper pack.
    • A (3⅛”) die-cut circle scrap piece was die-cut again with the (2⅛”) circle-die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Greeting: Gold Foil Paper scrap die-cut with the word, Cheers, from the retired Greetings Thinlits Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A Gold Trim Bow was added to the edge of the Sentiment Circle to complete the card.

Such a fun way to use up bits and pieces after you have made all your holiday cards.  Into the 2024 pile it goes!

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
