Winter White Poinsettias

Welcome back!  Snuck in another card…

Lots of inspiration for this card:  Heart’s Quest (#44) Poinsettia; Beautiful Blossoms (#12) Winter; Cupcake Inspiration (#584) Winter Wonderland; TGIF (#451) White Christmas; Shopping Our Stash (#512) Winter Holidays.  Opting for the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday (#637) Sketch with the Metallics option and sharing with Ellibelle’s I Spy (#10) Something New/Something Old with older stamp sets and newer papers.

Here is the result:

REASON FOR THE SEASON – FULL OF LOVE – HQCB44 – BBC012 – CIC584 – TGIFC451 – SOS512 – TSOT637 – EIS010

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Silver & White patterned piece of paper from the Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Flag: (1¼” x 5¼”) Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper flagged with the retired Triple Banner Punch.
  • Rectangle Shape – Poinsettia Flowers: Basic White cardstock.
    • Nine Poinsettia images from the retired Reason for the Season stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
    • All the Poinsettias were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.  Three full, three mid and three center.
    • The Poinsettia layers were stacked and popped up with Dimensionals.
  • Sentiment Block: (3” x ½”) Brushed Silver cardstock scrap retired.
    • The sentiment, sending love your way, from the retired Full of Love stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink but heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was also popped up with Dimensionals and tucked between the Poinsettias.

A pretty mix of Silver and White for a White Winter/Holiday theme card.
