Stippled Roses – Blank Card

Welcome back! Playing with a new stamp set that will be available in January.  The Stippled Roses is a beautiful set.

Inspiration for today’s card: Beautiful Blossoms (#11); Creative Colour (#118); Happy Little Stampers (December) for the Watercolor Technique; Tuesday Morning (#735) for the Layout; and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (December).

Here is the result:

STIPPLED ROSES – BBC011 – CCC118 – HLS Watercolor December 2023 – TMS735 – ECC December 2023

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Old Olive Cross-Hatch Textured patterned piece of paper from the retired 2020/2021 Regals Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Cross Strip: (5⅜” x 2¼”) Gray Granite Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired 2022/2023 Neutrals Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Center Strip – Ribbon: (⅜”) Moody Mauve 2023/2025 In-Color Textured Ribbon.
  • Shape – Rose Spray: (4” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Rose Spray image from the Stippled Roses stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
    • The Rose Spray was water-colored using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush and Old Olive and Moody Mauve inks.
    • I chose to fussy cut the Rose Spray with Paper Snips because I wanted a close cut.  Just letting you know that there are coordinating dies for this stamp set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Rose Spray was popped up with Dimensionals and I added three large Moody Mauve 2023/2023 In-Color Dots for the additional three elements per the sketch.

Sometimes a blank card is what you need.  The Roses are so beautiful, and this card can be used for many different occasions.  I just couldn’t decide…

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
