Joy of Noel – Holiday Card

Welcome back!  Another Christmas card but expressly made for a fellow.

Here we go:  Sunday Stamps (#323) Color Mood Board for the cozy colors and bedding textures for The Male Room (#181); Choosing elements from both the Tic Tac Toe (#238) Board and the Festive Friday (#149) List.  Bringing it all together, the Just Add Ink (#682) Sketch and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#693) for using stamped images.

Here is the result:

JOY OF NOEL – CHRISTMAS CLASSICS BUNDLE – SSC323 – TMR181 – TTTC238 – FF0149 – JAI682 – KCC693

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pebbled Path Fabric patterned piece of paper from the new (Jan 2024) Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Cross Strip: (4” x 2”) Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
  • Shape – Tag: (2¼” x 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
    • The sentiment block, Noel, from the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder to resemble Icing/Frosting.
    • The piece was then dry-embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder to resemble Gingerbread.
    • The piece was then die-cut with the (2” x 3⅞”) Tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies set to be my Gingerbread Biscuit.
  • Decoration – Holly Berries & Leaves: Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce cardstock scraps
    • The Holly Leaf image from the Christmas Classics stamp set was stamped twice with Shaded Spruce ink onto the Shaded Spruce cardstock and die-cut with the coordinating Holly Leaf die from the Christmas Classics Dies set.
    • The Holly Berries were die-cut with the Berries dies from the same die set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Tag was popped up with Dimensionals as were a few of the Holly Leaves.

A nice – not too fussy card – quite suitable for a guy!  Happy Holidays.
