Marvelous Nature – You Matter

A second card for today…it is going to be a busy week and I have a deadline for a favorite challenge coming due.

Festive Friday (#148) International Animal Rights Day and sharing with Critter Crazy (#81).

 Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Copper Clay cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Using the Striped Cross Hatch Stencil from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink, color was added on the diagonal to the panel.
• Accent Mat: 2½” x 4”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • The sentiment, You Matter to So Many, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder towards the bottom.
  • Two (3¾”) lengths of retired Braided Linen Trim were wrapped around the bottom of the panel and secured with scotch tape.
  • The Accent Mat was popped up with Dimensionals.
• Focal Image: (3¼” x 4”) Very Vanilla cardstock, two pieces.
  • The Bird image from the Marvelous Nature stamp set was stamped twice.  One with Copper Clay ink and the other with Early Espresso ink with the inks applied with a Brayer for a smoother finish.
  • The entire Copper Clay Bird image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Just the Birds, from the Early Espresso inked image, were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • The Copper Clay image was adhered to the Early Espresso Accent Mat and the Early Espresso Birds were popped up with Mini Dimensionals and fitted over the original stamped Birds.

And that is it!
