Welcome back! After lots of chores and a bit of Holiday Merry Making, I am able to get back into the Studio to play…
Playing with the Global Design Project (#422) Sketch and selected a favorite retired stamp called Dasher for the Alphabet Letter R = Reindeer challenge. I chose to keep the card clean and simple for Simply Clean & Simple (#6) along with the current Creative Colours (#117) Palette. I am also sharing this card with Critter Crazy (#81).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Copper Clay cardstock.
- Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The retired Dasher image was stamped four times with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- From a sheet of Copy Paper, a Mask was created using the (1” x 2⅜”) Rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies set.
- Using Blending Brushes and the Mask, the four patches as per the design sketch, were added around the Reindeer, Dasher. Colors selected: Pool Party, Afternoon Azure, Copper Clay and Crumb Cake to add balance.
- A little light color was also added to the horns that fell outside of the patches.
- The sentiment, Peace & Happiness, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped with Copper Clay ink.
And that is it! One nice image, a little color and you have yourself a merry little card.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

Such a perfect way to use that color combination, I really like the soft blending you used and the way the embossing looks over the shapes. Very nice card Jolanda, thanks for playing along at the Alphabet Challenge and at Simply CAS!

What a wonderful Christmas/winter card, I love the elegant look you created by using subtle colours and lots of white. The embossed reindeer are a real eye-catcher, and contribute the right amount of bling to your card. I like how you blended the background of their antlers, it seems to me like a gentle breeze is spreading Christmas magic. Such a wonderful sentiment, too. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
