Making Spirits Bright – Joy of Noel

Still catching up.  Indulge me for making an additional card today.

Inspiration: The lovely Jingle Belles (#2324) Blog Header for 2023. Color: Color Dare (#575) Choose Two and I went with the Pinks. Technique: Just Add Ink (#680) to use Alcohol in some way. Materials: Use Your Stuff (#480) Shine Bright with Glimmer and Shimmer Papers and Silver accents. Layout: Try Stampin’ On Tuesday (#634) with an option to use Trees.

Here is the result:

JOY OF NOEL – MAJESTIC TREES DIES – JB2324 – CD575 – JAI680 – UYS480 – tSOT634

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Melon Mambo cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Glossy White cardstock (now retired).
    • I got out my trusty (9” x 12”) Silicone Craft Mat.
    • I added scribbles of Light Melon Mambo (for Rose) and Dark Bubble Bath (for Ballerina) Alcohol-based Stampin’ Blends Markers directly to the Craft Mat.
    • I added three drops of retired Delicata Silvery Shimmer Reinker ink to the Craft Mat,
    • I added Isopropyl Alcohol to a Stampin’ Spritzer Bottle and sprayed the inks liberally.
    • With a Craft Brush, I swirled the colors together.
    • I then pressed a piece of Glossy White cardstock (8½” x 5½”) into the inks and then lifted the paper to expose the marbled pattern.
    • The marbled paper was trimmed to (4” x 5¼”).
    • The sentiment, Making Spirits Bright, from the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • Circle #1: (3”) Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper die-cut with the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The Silver was colored with the Light Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • Circle #2: (3”) Magenta Madness 2021/2023 Shimmer Vellum (now retired) also die-cut with the same Stitched Circle die.
  • Rectangle Block Shape – Trees: (2” x 8”) Bubble Bath Shimmer Soft Specialty Paper.
    • Two Trees were die-cut using dies from the retired Majestic Mountain Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  All of the sparkly bits add shine and shimmer for a pretty pink Holiday card,
