Joy of Noel Wreath

Welcome back!  Christmas countdown…

Over at Stampin’ Up! Only (#340), we are asked to create with some of our favorite products from the September – December Mini Catalog.  How to choose?  There are so many.  I selected the Joy of Noel Bundle, the Christmas Classics Dies and the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper along with a few favorites from the Annual Catalog.

I was inspired by Make My Monday (#214) to create a Wreath and Tic Tac Toe (#236) for the elements Patterned Paper, Gems and Layers.  Bringing it all together, I selected the Atlantic Hearts (#552) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shade Spruce cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Distressed Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper.
  • Blocks: White / Gold patterned piece of paper from the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  Cut Sizes – Left: (1¾” x 1⅜”) and (1¾” x 1¾”) x 2; Right: (2” x 2⅞”), (2” x 13/16”) and (2” x 1¼”).  The Blocks were adhered to the Background Panel.
  • Sentiment Circle – Noel: (2¾” x 2¾”) Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Distressed Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper.
    • A Shaded Spruce and Distressed Gold (2⅝”) circle was die-cut using the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The word, NOEL, from the Joy of Noel Dies set was die-cut into the Distressed Gold Circle.
    • The die-cut Distressed Gold Circle was adhered to the Shaded Spruce Circle for stability.
    • The word, NOEL, from the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder on the Cherry Cobbler piece.
    • The letters, N, O, E, L, were die-cut with the coordinating NOEL die.
    • The letters, N, O, E, L, were paper-pieced into the Distressed Gold Circle.
  • Wreath: Shaded Spruce cardstock and retired Mother of Pearl Specialty Designer Series Paper scraps.
    • Six Shaded Spruce Twigs were die-cut with one of the dies from the On-Line Exclusive Designer Tags Dies set.
    • Six Mother of Pearl Twigs were die-cut with one of the dies from the Christmas Classics Dies set.
    • For my Gems, I added both Real Red and White Pearlized Enamel Effects Dots to the Shaded Spruce Twigs which were set aside to dry.

Once the Pearlized Enamel Effects Dots were dry, all elements were adhered to the card base and the Wreath was created.

Merry Noel!
