Everlasting Beauty – Beautiful Things

Welcome back! Had a lovely day out and about and now I am back in the Studio for today’s card.

Double Trouble (#154) is partnering with Tuesday Morning (#734) to add a stitched element to their sketch, and I selected to use the colors suggested by Creative Colours (#116).

Here is the result:

EVERLASTING BEAUTY – DT154 – TMS734 – CCC116

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Tahitian Tide cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Wild Wheat cardstock die-cut with the largest Stitched Edge die from the Stitched With Whimsy Dies set.
    • The Panel was also dry-embossed in both directions with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to give the background a Fabric look.
  • Vertical Strip: (1” x 4½”) Wild Wheat Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Horizontal Strip: (3” x ⅞”) Crushed Curry cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Here’s to all the beautiful things yet to come, from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set was stamped into Versamark ink and then into Pretty Peacock ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder using the Clear Color Embossing Technique.
  • Accent Oval Mat: (2⅝” x 3½”) Distressed Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper die-cut with that sized die from the retired Layering Ovals Framelits Dies set.
  • Focal Image – Flower: (2⅜” x 3¾”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The Floral image from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink but heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
    • The Flower was then  water-colored with Water Painter Brushes.  Colors used: Flower Center – Crushed Curry, Flower Petals – Wild Wheat, Leaves – Tahitian Tide, and shadowing – retired Soft Sky.
    • The image was then die-cut with another of the Layering Oval Dies.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch but flipped to the vertical position to better accommodate the Flower image. Several Rhinestone Basic Jewels were colored with the Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend Marker and added to the card.

Such a pretty greeting card.
