Festive Ornament – Holiday Cheer

Welcome back!  I have been invited to be a Guest Designer for Ellibelle’s I Spy with My Little Eye Challenge for this month and I had some fun creating this card.  Getting in the Holiday mood with Sparkle and/or Shine.

My choices were inspired by the Tic Tac Toe (#234) Line – Vanilla, Festive, and Navy and I chose the sketch suggested by CAS on Friday (#270).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla Thick cardstock.
• Flag Banners: (3½” x ¾”) Gold Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and (4” x 1”) Night of Navy with Gold Stars patterned piece of paper from the Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper pack punched with the Banners Pick a Punch.
• Circle Shape: (4” x 4”) Gold Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper die-cut with the Bubble Circle die from the Irresistible Bloom Dies set.  The outer square was trimmed away with Paper Snips and the center was retained.
• Decoration – Christmas Ornament: (2½” x 2½”) Night of Navy with Gold Leaf patterned piece of paper, also from the Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper pack and (2½” x 4½”) Night of Navy cardstock die-cut with coordinating Ornament dies from the Handcrafted Elements Dies set.
  • The DSP cut Ornament is supported with a cardstock cut Ornament and adhered over the cardstock oval decorative piece.
• Sentiment: (1¾” x ⅝”) Night of Navy cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Holiday Cheer, from the October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Peaceful Christmas was chosen for the Retro Font and stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card front to resemble the sketch. 

Golden Sparkle and Shine, so pretty hanging on the Christmas Tree…
