Abundant Beauty – Thanks

It’s Monday…the start of a brand-new week!

Taking a break from Christmas cards, I have a pretty thank you card today.

The challenges: Just Us Girls (#705) for the Word of the Week; Creative Colour (#115) for the color palette; Freshly Made Sketches (#611) for the layout; and I am sharing with Happy Little Stampers (November) as I chose to use Stencils in my design.

Here is the result:

ABUNDANT BEAUTY DECO MASKS – AROUND THE BEND – JUGS705 – CCC115 – FMS611 – HLS Stencils November 2023

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 4⅛”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Mat: (3” x 3⅞”) Boho Blue cardstock.
    • The right-side corners were rounded with the retired Detailed Trio Punch.
  • Accent Panel: (2⅞” x 3¾’) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Panel was stenciled with the Houndstooth patterned mask from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks set using a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink and then the corners were rounded to match.
  • Cross Strip: Burlap Ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.
  • Focal Panel: (2” x 3⅞”) Vellum.
  • Decoration – Sunflowers & Leaves: Basic White cardstock.
    • Using the Sunflower set of masks from the same Decorative Masks set, the Sunflowers and Leaves were created with Fresh Freesia, Crumb Cake and Boho Blue inks using both Blending Brushes and Sponge Daubers.
    • The Floral elements were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Shape – Sentiment: (1¾) Boho Blue cardstock.
    • The sentiment, just wanted to say thanks, from the Around the Bend stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was die-cut with the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

Don’t those Sunflowers look pretty in Fresh Freesia?  Such a versatile set of masks in the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks set.

  1. So pretty. I like how the flowers and petals pop off the gorgeous background you created. The stencil work and embossing makes for a lovely background. Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers ~ Stencil Challenge.
