Garden Meadow – Happy Birthday

One more card for today as I am chasing a few deadlines.  I am giving you a sneak peek at the new Garden Meadow stamp set/die bundle that will be available as an On-Line Exclusive tomorrow (Tuesday, November 7th).  Lots of great images in this set!

My birthday card is for Seize the Birthday (#272) and Just Add Ink (#677).

Here is the result:

GARDEN MEADOW BUNDLE – STB272 – JAI677

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Large Shape – Garden Scene: (2½” x 3½”) and (3½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The top half of the panel was dry-embossed with the retired Into the Clouds Embossing Folder and the lower half was dry-embossed with the Wavy Cheery Patterns Embossing Folder.
    • The Clouds were highlighted with Balmy Blue ink applied with a Blending Brush.
    • The Waves were highlighted with Granny Apple Green ink in a similar manner.
    • The Floral Wheel Barrow image from the Garden Meadow stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Flowers – Light and Dark Fresh Freesia, Greenery – Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Wheel Barrow – Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Light Poppy Parade.
    • The Wheel Barrow was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Garden Meadows Dies set.
    • Additional fussy-cutting with Paper Snips was done to open up the Wheel Barrow Struts and Wheel.
  • Small Shape – Watering Can: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Watering Can image, also from the Garden Meadow stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Poppy Parade and Light Smoky Slate.
    • The Watering Can was also die-cut with the coordinating die from the Garden Meadows Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, happy birthday!, from the same stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink.
    • The Sentiment was die-cut with the Label die from the retired Apple Blossoms Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Watering Can and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals

  1. What a gorgeous card, Jolanda! The little pops of colour against the white make for a super pretty card. Thanks for joining us this week at Just Add Ink. Rochelle xo
