Timeless Charm – Just Wanted to Say

Welcome back!  Studio time after spending the day in the city.

For the color challenge over at the Global Design Project (#417), I chose the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday (#629) sketch and added the material challenge from As You See It (#310). Let’s have some fun!

Here is the result:

TIMELESS CHARM DIES – GORGEOUSLY MADE DIES – COUNTRY BOUQUET – GDP417 – TSOT629 – AYSI310

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
  • Thin Vertical Strip: (¾” x 5¼”) Petal Pink cardstock
  • Wide Vertical Strip: (1⅜” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Overlay: (4” x 5¼”) Vellum cardstock dry-embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Focal Panel: (2” x 4”) Pretty Peacock cardstock also dry-embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Leaves: (2½” x 4”) Vellum colored with the Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend Marker and then die-cut with the Leaf die from the Gorgeously Made Dies set.
  • Focal Image – Flowers: Pretty Peacock and Petal Pink cardstock die cut with one of the Floral dies from the On-Line Exclusive Timeless Charm Dies set.
    • The Petal Pink Blossoms were trimmed and added to and over the Pretty Peacock Blooms.
  • Sentiment: Lost Lagoon cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Just wanted to say…, from the Country Bouquet stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was die-cut with the Torn Tape die also from the Gorgeously Made Dies set.

All elements were arranged and adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.   I like how this all-purpose card turned out.

  1. Oh wow, Jolanda, the vellum really makes this subtle EF shine – such great definition! Very fun colors, too – those challenges always make me stretch, lol. Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

  2. This is just lovely Jolanda – the alignment of the embossed panels so that the patterns flow give this card a beautiful seamless appearance and I love the blocks of colour too. Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It Challenge!

  3. The colour blocks underneath the embossed vellum really give the pattern different looks depending on the colour. It’s such a unique effect – I love it!! I also love that torn tape label. That escaped my notice. I’ll have to have another peek at that set! Thanks for filling in the blank for us at As You See It Challenges!
