Trick or Treat

One week and the Goblins will come a-calling…

Several Halloween challenges are still kicking around.  Today: AAA Cards (#251); Cupcake Inspirations (#580); Can You Handle the Pressure (#41); and the colors suggested by Addicted to CAS (#249).

Here is the result:

TOXIC TREATS – HELLO PUMPKIN – AAACC251 – CIC580 – CYHTP41 – ATCAS249

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The greeting, Trick or Treat from the retired Toxic Treats stamp set was stamped with Versamark and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • Accent Mat: (2½” x 2½”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (2½” x 2½”) Basic Black cardstock.
    • The Square was dry-embossed with the retired Spider Web Embossing Folder.
    • The Craft White ink pad was dragged across the embossed pattern to highlight the Spider Web design.
  • Focal Image: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Witch’s Hat image from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Hello Pumpkin stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The Hat image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors selected: Dark Gorgeous Grape, Parakeet Party, Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie.
    • The Hat image was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base for a clean and simple design.  The Hat was popped up with Dimensionals.
