Vintage Gingerbread – Holiday Cheer

Welcome back to a brand-new week!  Time for a little more holiday magic…

Playing with the Tic Tac Toe (#231) Board, Time Out (#249) for something Vintage and bringing it together with a loose interpretation of the Freshly Made (#608) Sketch which I flipped.  Let’s have some fun!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
• Winter Scene: Basic White and Pecan Pie cardstock along with Pecan Pie Gingham patterned paper from the Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Gingham strip is (5¼” x 1”).
  • The Lace is die-cut with one of the dies from the retired Ornate Borders Dies set.
  • The Snowy Drifts were hand torn, and the edges were highlighted with Balmy Blue ink using a Blending Brush.
  • The (3) pieces of Basic White cardstock were adhered temporarily together and the Tree image and Sentiment, Holiday Cheer, from the October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Peaceful Christmas Kit were stamped with Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie inks.
  • The pieces were taken apart and the top background piece was dry-embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
  • All pieces were arranged and adhered to the card base.
• Focal Image – Gingerbread House: (2½” x 2½”) Pecan Pie cardstock scrap.
  • The Gingerbread House image from the November 2020 Paper Pumpkin Jolly Gingerbread Kit was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.

What fun to come upon a vintage Gingerbread cottage tucked away in the woods.  Happy Holidays.
