Fun & Festive Christmas

Welcome back!  Wishing you a wonderful Sunday.

Today, I am playing with the colors suggested by Facebook’s Colour INKspiration (#153) challenge.  I decided to make a Holiday card using the Fun & Festive stamp set.  All of the Critters in this set make me smile.

Sharing this card with Jingle Belles (#2322) for featuring a Creature, Inkspirational (#301) for the Cold theme and Jan’s Digi Stamps (October) Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, May your season be…, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The panel was then dry-embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
• Accent Panel: (1¾” x 4½”) Lost Lagoon Plaid patterned piece of paper from the Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Giraffe image was stamped on to the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink for small details such as Ornament Hooks and the Giraffe’s Tail.
• Focal Image – Giraffe & Tree: (2” x 4”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
  • The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Both Light and Dark Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Moody Mauve, Lost Lagoon and retired Coastal Cabana colors were used.
  • The image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

The card was assembled, and the fussy-cut Giraffe was adhered over the original stamped image.

A clean and simple Christmas card with a few enhancements.
