Welcome back! I have a quick simple card for you today. Just stamps, inks and paper.
Playing with the Atlantic Hearts (#547) sketch. A super design for using those edge scraps we all have in our bins and choosing the color scheme suggested by Color Dare (#569).
I chose a retired stamp set, Friendly Expressions (circa 2018) to play with Retro Rubber (#217) and am sharing this card with Make My Monday (#211) as the colors represent the forest ablaze with the changing colors.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
- Strips: (¼”) Lemon Lolly to Merry Merlot cardstock scraps at various lengths added in a gradient to the card front.
- Sentiment Banner Accent: (4½” x 1⅝”) Basic Black cardstock
- Sentiment Banner: (4½” x 1⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The sentiment was arranged diagonally across the card front and the edges were trimmed to complete the card.
