Bird’s Eye View – Hello

Welcome to the middle of the week!  Had a lovely class this afternoon and now I am catching a deadline.

Playing with the colors from As You See It (#309) and predominately the sketch from Inspired By (#258) incorporating the Fall copper color found in the grass, hay, leaves and trees.  Instead of Pumpkins, I selected a Bird to tie into Farm Quest’s (#38) Feathers theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gray Granite cardstock for the additional Neutral color.
• Square: (4” x 4”) Basic White cardstock and a small scrap piece.
  • The Bird image, from the Bird’s Eye View stamp set was stamped in the lower left corner with Versamark ink and heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder.
  • The panel was dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
  • An additional Bird was created and colored with the Light Misty Moonlight, Copper Clay and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The Bird, minus Feet and Head Tuft, was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Hello Panel: (3¾” x 2”) Misty Moonlight patterned piece of paper trimmed from a Stampin’ Up! Brochure received sometime in the past.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The fussy-cut Bird was added over top of the original Bird.

Birds are preparing for Fall, moving along to points further south or arriving from the north.  As they pass…the chirp is a friendly Hello!
