Timeless Arrangements – Floral Spray

Hi, welcome back!  This morning I am celebrating The Flower Challenge for their 7^th Anniversary.

There are a few other challenges with a Floral theme: Double Trouble (#150) partnering with The Crafter’s Café (#302), so I will share this card with them also.  I selected the colors from Just Add Ink (#674) and the TGIF (#442) sketch to complete my design.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Square Panel: (4⅛” x 4⅛”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
• Focal Image – Floral Spray: Basic White, Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst, Pretty Peacock and Gold Foil cardstocks die-cut with various dies from the Paper Florist Dies set.
  • Large Flower: Fresh Freesia Petals (8) highlighted with Berry Burst ink. Center using a Blending Brush and edges using a Sponge Dauber.
  • Two Smaller Flowers: Basic White Petals (4) colored with Fresh Freesia (2) and Berry Burst (2) inks using Blending Brushes.
  • Daisy Flower: Berry Burst Petals.
  • Buds: Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock.
  • Leaves: Pretty Peacock and Gold Foil.
  • Floral Centers: Pretty Peacock, Fresh Freesia, and Gold Foil.
  • The Flowers were assembled.
• Sentiment Banner: Pretty Peacock cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You make me smile, from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were arranged and adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Leaf Spray flipped left to right.  Several Brushed Brass Butterflies were added for decoration.

Such pretty colors.  Beautiful Flowers always make me smile.  Enjoy!
