All About Autumn – I Like You

Tuesday Design Time.  For the Cardz 4 Guys (#332) challenge, I have selected one of my favorite Designer Series Papers – All About Autumn for the color scheme.

Additionally, I was inspired by the following challenges: As You See It (#308) for the Sketch; Retro Rubber (#216) for the Elements; Alphabet (Letter M) for Monochrome treatment; and Krafty Chicks (#686) for the All Occasions Sentiment.

Here is the result:

ALL ABOUT AUTUMN SPECIALTY DSP – FLOWING FLOWERS – C4G332 – AYSI308 – RRCB216 – Alphabet letter M – KCC683

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Leather Sofa patterned piece of paper from the All About Autum Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Rectangle Panel: (2” x 4½”) Knitted Sweater patterned piece of paper, also from the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Square Panel: (2” x 2”) Very Vanilla scrap dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
    • The texture was highlighted with Crumb Cake ink using a Sponge Dauber.
  • Decoration: Leaves – Pecan Pie and Early Espresso cardstock scraps.
    • The Leaves were die-cut with the Maple Leaf dies from the retired Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies set (Pecan Pie) and the retired Intricate Leaves Dies (Early Expresso).
  • Sentiment: (2” x ¾”) Early Espresso cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, I Like You, from the retired Flowing Flowers stamp set (circa 2022) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The right edge of the sentiment was cut on the diagonal.

All elements were adhered to resemble the sketch with the sentiment popped up with Dimensionals.

The monochromatic shades of brown give this card a really warm masculine vibe.

  5. What a wonderful autumn-inspired card. I love the earthy shades you used for your creation, those shades of brown really work so well together. I like the texture you added in form of patterned papers that feature textured motives, as well as in the form of those pretty leaves you added – such a perfect addition to the autumn theme. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

    Hugs, Veronika
