Radiating Stitches Dies – One Card, Two Ways

Welcome back!  It has been a minute…I have been busy and distracted from my blog posting.  Several classes to prepare for and celebrating with my husband.

Last week, TGIF had a challenge to create one card two ways.  I missed the deadline, but here is what I chose to do.

I created the Birthday card using the Biggest Wish stamp set and then reimagined it this morning with the new companion stamp set: More Wishes as a Christmas card.

Here are the results:

Steps: Birthday Card

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Boho Blue cardstock.
• Background Panel (3⅞” x 5¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock die-cut with the largest Rectangle die from the On-Line Exclusive Radiating Stitches Dies set.
• Focal Panel: (2⅝” x 4”) Pickled Pine patterned piece of paper from the retired Wood Textures Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the medium Rectangle die from the same die set.
  • The word, HAPPY, from the Biggest Wish stamp set was stamped three times with Pecan Pie ink.
  • The word, birthday, from the same stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
• Decoration: Boho Blue cardstock scrap die-cut with the Heart die from the same die set.

Steps: Christmas Card

• Card Base: Crumb Cake
• Background Panel / Focal Panel / Decoration: Shaded Spruce / Crumb Cake / Cherry Cobbler patterned pieces of paper from the retired Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.
• The word, MERRY, from the More Wishes stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and the word, christmas, was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.
• Decoration: Larger Circle die was chosen.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The decorations, heart and circle, were popped up with Dimensionals.

Two cards, one design.  Simple yet attractive.
