Translucent Florals – Hello There

Welcome back!  And before you know it, it is Tuesday again.  Design time:  Case-ing Tuesday (#425).  Using the Stampin’ Up! Catalog Samples for inspiration and changing none, some or all the elements as you recreate a card is such a great place to start…My theme and color choices were influenced by Beautiful Blossoms (#8).

Adding a few more layers, here is the result:

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS – NATUTRE’S PRINTS – CT425 – BBC008

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Daffodil Delight cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel (4” x 5¼”) Smoky Slate Diagonal Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2023/2024 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Accent Square: (4” x 4”) Daffodil Delight Dashed patterned piece of paper from the 2023/2024 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Focal Panel: (4” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The large and medium Floral images from the Translucent Florals stamp set were stamped with Lemon Lolly ink.
    • Additionally, the small Floral Bud image was stamped in the center, also with Lemon Lolly ink.
    • Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush and ink picked up from the Lemon Lolly ink pad lid, color was added to all the petals.
    • The large and medium Floral images were stamped over the originals with Daffodil Delight ink to add more detail.
    • Using the Two-Leaf image, Leaves were added with Smoky Slate ink.
  • Sentiment Accent Scallop: (1⅜”) Smoky Slate cardstock scrap punched out with the retired (1⅜”) Scallop Circle Punch.
  • Sentiment: (1¼”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Hello There, from the Nature’s Prints stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and punched out with the retired (1¼”) Circle Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  I love the combination of yellow and gray.  Soft and fresh.
