Happy Labels – Hello

This has been a very busy week, and I had a chance to play in the Studio this afternoon.  Catching up with Facebook Case-ing Tuesday Sketch (#424). 

And combining the following challenges: Can You Handle The Pressure (#39) Theme; Tic Tac Toe (#225) Line – Layers, Die Cut(s) and Masculine; Just Add Ink (#669) Colors; and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#680).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder for a Woody look.
• Right Rectangle: (1½” x 5½”) Misty Moonlight cardstock die-cut with the Bubble Strip Panel die from the On-Line Exclusive Irresistible Blooms Dies set.
• Focal Panel: (3” x 5”) Basic White cardstock stamped with the Watercolor Swirl image from the Artistically Inked stamp set.  Lower half with Crumb Cake ink and upper half with Misty Moonlight ink suggesting Ground and Sky.
  • The Panel was die-cut with the largest Elongated Hexagon die from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
• Decoration – Trees: (2” x 4½”) Mossy Meadow cardstock scrap die-cut with the Tree dies from the retired Majestic Mountains Dies set.
• Sentiment Accent Flag: (2¼” x ⅜”) Mossy Meadow cardstock scrap hand-trimmed on the diagonal.
• Sentiment: (1⅜” x ½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Hello, from the Happy Labels stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
  • The edges of the sentiment were brushed with Crumb Cake ink using a Sponge Dauber.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Sentiment popped up with Dimensionals.
