Always Remember – Poppies

Tuesday – Design time and today I am combining Cardz 4 Guyz (#330) theme with the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#422) sketch. 

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
• Background Rectangles: (3⅝” x 1⅝”) Basic White cardstock die-cut three times with one of the Rectangle dies from the retired Rectangles Stitched Framelits Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Always Remember, from the retired Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder onto the bottom Stitched Rectangle.
• Focal Panel – Poppies: (3½” x 5”) Vellum
  • The Poppy image from the retired Happy Watercolor stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink two times and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The Poppies were colored on the back with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker for a Stained-Glass look.
  • The Panel was die-cut with the (3⅜” x 4¾”) Rectangle die also from the same Die set
• Frame: (3½” x 5”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Using the (3⅜” x 4¾”) and (3” x 4⅜”) Rectangle dies, the Frame was created.

The Frame was adhered to the Focal Panel and all elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

Remembrance Day Poppies.  Thanking a Veteran for their service.
