Baby Panda – Hello

Welcome back!  I created a Baby card for a little fellow coming to my neighborhood.

Inspiration for this card came from the following challenges: Just Us Girls (#694) not totally CAS as I added a bit of sparkle and glitz for TGIF (#435) and chose the current Paper Players (#655) sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3¼” x 4”) White Textured Shimmer Paper.
• Polaroid Frame: (3” x 3¾”) Balmy Blue Gingham patterned paper from the retired Country Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
  • An opening was die-cut with the (1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Hello Baby, from the retired Happy & Heartfelt stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with a glossy Black Embossing Powder.
• Focal Image – Panda Bear: (2¼” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Sitting Panda Bear image from the retired Party Panda stamp set was stamped without the Balloon with Versamark ink and also heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A thin gleaming Black Satin Ribbon from my stash was tied around the popped up focal panel image and finished with a bow.

A cute hello & welcome to the new baby boy.
