Brightest Glow – Retro Christmas Trees

Welcome back!  Hoping you are having a spectacular weekend.

Having a bit of Holiday fun.  Over at Jingle Belles (#2317), the theme is Trees and I selected the Atlantic Hearts (#538) sketch.  My color choices were inspired by this holiday photograph.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Granny Apple Green Cross patterned piece of paper from the retired Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack.
• Blocks: (1⅝” x 1⅝”) Granny Apple Green cardstock.
  • The Blocks were die-cut with the Stitched Square die from the retired Stitches Shapes Dies set.
  • The Blocks were dry-embossed with the On-Line Exclusive Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Decoration – Trees: Colored Dots patterned piece of paper also from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Trees were punched out with the retired Pine Tree Punch.
• Sentiment Label Accent Mat: (3¼” x ⅞”) Coastal Cabana cardstock scrap.
• Sentiment Label: (3⅜” x ¾”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Season’s Greetings, from the Brightest Glow stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
