Butterfly Garden – Beautiful Beginnings

Hi! Another card for you…

Mixing up the Inspiration Station (#52) with Crafter’s Café (#300) selecting the Creative Colours (#102) with the Tuesday Morning (#720) Sketch.

Here is the result:

PAINTED POSIES 3D EF – SOMETHING FANCY – ISC52 – CCCB300 – CCC102 – TMS720

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • Main Panel: (4¾” x 3”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The panel was dry-embossed with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder. With the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, color was added to the embossed image.
    • Stamping Blocks were pressed into the colors and used as a mixing palette.  Colors chosen: Lemon Lolly, Gorgeous Grape and Pretty Peacock.
  • Decoration – Butterflies: Vellum scrap.
    • The two Butterflies from the Meadow Dies set were die-cut.
    • With my Fine-Tipped Pentel Liquid Gel Pen, I doodled the lines of the Butterflies to the reverse side.
    • The Butterflies were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Highland Heather and Light Pretty Peacock.
  • Sentiment Labels: Vellum scrap.
    • The truncated greeting, Beautiful Beginnings, from the Something Fancy stamp set was created by inking the words separately with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker.
    • The Words were then trimmed to the block shapes.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Three retired Pineapple Punch 2018/2020 In-Color Dots from my stash were added.

Yellow and purple is always a pretty combination.  In fact, it is a color choice for my own garden and we try to plant flowers that attract butterflies.

Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
