A Fish & A Wish – You’re Not Alone

Friday!  The weekend is almost here.  Do you have any fun plans? 

Today I am playing with the Global Design Project (#407) theme and the Inspired By (#251) photo for both theme and color choice.  I selected the CAS Colours & Sketches (#518) sketch and the Clear Color Embossing Technique for Inkspirational (#296).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White Thick cardstock.
• Card Front:
  • A Stencil / Mask was created with the (4¼” x 3”) Rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies set into a half sheet of Copy Paper.
  • The opening was created to measure (4¼” x 1⅝”) by partial die-cutting.
  • The Mask was set in place with repositionable tape.
  • Clear Color Embossing Technique: Stamp first into Versamark ink and then into colored ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder for a colored glossy finish.
  • The small Fish image from the retired A Fish & A Wish stamp set was selected and stamped in alternating directions within the rectangle space.  The colors chosen were: Tahitian Tide, Azure Afternoon, Starry Sky and Blueberry Bushel.
  • The Mask was removed and the Fish were heat-set.
  • The Mask was repositioned in place.
  • The Bubble image from the retired Seascape stamp set was then added with Versamark ink and also heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder.
  • With the Mask back in place, Pool Party ink was added with a Blending Brush.
  • The Mask was removed.
  • The sentiment, You’re Not Alone, from the Softly Sketched stamp set was added with Versamark ink and White Embossing Powder.
  • This did not show up very well, so I stamped it again for a shadow effect with Versamark ink and Blueberry Bushel ink and also heat-set it with Clear Embossing Powder.
