One more for the day! Happy Saturday…
Mixing up a few other challenges: Simply Clean and Simple (#002) Style and Theme with the Global Design Project (#405) Colors and the Happy Little Stampers (August) Watercolor Technique.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Sentimental Park stamp set was stamped with Pebbled Path ink.
- Accent Mat: (2⅞” x 3⅝”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
- Focal Image – Scene: (2¾” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Bird/Grass/Water image from the Calm & Quiet Hostess stamp set was stamped with Stazon Saddle Brown ink.
- Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, the scene was water-colored with Boho Blue, Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path inks direct from Ink Pad Lid.
Keeping the card clean and simple, the framed scene was added to the card base.
A wonderful water-colored image, so suitable for a masculine birthday but also gender-neutral.
