Tuesday – Design time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#419). Using the Stampin’ Up! Catalog Samples for inspiration and changing none, some or all the elements as you recreate a card is such a great place to start…

Today, I was inspired by Can You Handle The Pressure (#36) for a Nautical theme. I am sharing this card with Four Seasons (August) for the Summer Beach Inspiration Photo and Krafty Chicks (#674) All Occasions.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gray Granite cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Gray Granite cardstock dry-embossed with the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder.
- Accent Panels: (4” x 12”) Gray Granite to Pretty Peacock Ombre patterned piece of paper from the Earthen Textures Designer Series Paper pack.
- Back Panel: (3¼” x 5”) cut from the center to have Pretty Peacock on the bottom and Gray Granite on the top.
- Top Panel: (2¼” x 4”) cut from the top so it is all light Gray Granite.
- These two pieces were temporarily adhered together.
- The large Wave image from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped across the bottom edges with Pretty Peacock ink.
- The Wave image was stamped again, slightly off-set with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder for a frothy sea look.
- The small Seagull image was stamped three times on the top panel with Pebbled Path ink.
- Circle Shape: Vellum die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Focal Image: Off-Cut Light Gray Granite patterned piece of paper.
- The Pelican on the Pier Posts image was stamped with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Pebbled Path ink and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Sentiment Label: (2” x ½”) Off-Cut Pretty Peacock piece of patterned paper
- The sentiment, YOU ARE THE BEST, from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Bird and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.
I really like how this card turned out. Super masculine card!
