Delightfully Eclectic Floral Hello

Design Time at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#419) and this fortnight it is a Sketch.

I decided that I would showcase some of the pretty paper from the new Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper pack and play with the new Paper Florist Dies.

I chose the color story from Color Hues (#68) and to share with Beautiful Blossoms (#7) and Happy Little Stampers (July).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Double-sided Stripe/Floral patterned piece of paper cut on the diagonal with the Stripe facing forward to get the pattern to lay to the left-side.
  • The two pieces were adhered to the card front.
• Diagonal Trim: (7½” x ⅜”) Garden Green and Basic White off cuts were adhered in place over patterned paper and trimmed.
• Circle Shape: (1⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Hello, from the new Softly Sketched stamp set was stamped with Garden Green ink and adhered in place.
• Decoration – Floral Bloom and Leaves: Berry Burst, Basic White, Bubble Bath and Old Olive cardstock scraps.
  • Using several dies, the Floral pieces were die-cut.
  • The Flower was assembled and it and the Leaves were adhered in place in lieu of the ribbon element.
