Wanted To Say – Happy Birthday Wishes

Week Three for my Guest Designer position with Krafty Chicks this month.  Week Three is always CAS…clean and simple and I have a sweet birthday card for you today.

Inspiration gleaned from the following challenges: Simply Clean & Simple (#001) for the Florals; Addicted to CAS (#242) for the Sentiment; Happy Little Stampers (July) for the Theme; and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (July) Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Bubble Bath cardstock die-cut with the (3¾” x 5⅛”) Rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies set.
• Focal Panel: (3½” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Diamond Gingham Patterned die from the Brilliant Backgrounds Dies set was used to create the subtle background.
  • The Pattern was framed and die-cut with the (3⅜” x 4¾”) Rectangle die, also from the Deckled Rectangles Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, from the Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.  The words were separately inked and stamped, cleaning between each stamping.
  • The panel was popped up with Dimensionals.
• Decorative Florals: Bubble Bath, Misty Moonlight and Soft Sea Foam cardstock scraps.
  • Using the Stem and Flower dies from the Wanted To Say Dies set, the pieces were die-cut.
  • The Bubble Bath Flower was added to the Misty Moonlight Flower and the Misty Moonlight Floral Center was added back with a bit of glue to the Bubble Bath Flower.
  • The Flowers were also popped up with Dimensionals over the Soft Sea Foam Stems.

Perhaps Roses are Red, but I think Posies should be Pink and shaded with a bit of Blue.  Hope you like this pretty little birthday card!
