Everlasting Beauty – Birthday Card

Happy Thursday…it is almost the weekend.  Hooray!

Having a play in the Studio and working with Just Us Girls (#688) for a soft floral birthday card based on the Mood Board using watercolors for Happy Little Stampers (July) and the current Freshly Made (#595) sketch.

Here is the result:

EVERLASTING BEAUTY – INKED & TILED – JUGS688 – HLS Watercolor July – FMS595

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3¼” x 4¾”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The paper was die-cut with the Swirl die from the Patchwork Pieces Dies set.
    • The resultant six pieces were dry-embossed with the retired Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder (1 & 4), the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (2 & 5), and the On-Line Exclusive Cross-Hatch patterned Basics 3D Embossing Folder (3 & 6).
  • Shape Accent – Doily: (3”) The White back-side of a retired Colored Doily was colored with the Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • Shape – Circle: (3” x 3”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The Floral image from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set was stamped with Stazon Saddle Brown ink as it is waterproof.
    • The Floral image was water colored with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.  Colors selected: Blooms – Bubble Bath and Cherry Cobbler; Flower Centers – Crushed Curry; and Leaves – Garden Green.
    • Once dry, the Floral image was die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: (1¾” x 1⅛”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Inked & Tiled stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was then die-cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangle die from the Nested Essential Dies set.

All elements were adhered in place to resemble the sketch.   A few pink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins were added for a bit of bling.

A lovely little  birthday card.
