My Beach – Waterfront Sunshine

Welcome back!  Friday already…the trip to the beach is winding down…

Not really, but I am inspired by the Paper Players (#647) theme and creating with the Tuesday Morning (#714) sketch.  Enjoy!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Calypso Coral cardstock
• Blocks: (3¾” x 3½”) and (3¾” x 1¼”) Basic Black cardstock punched with the Corner Rounder option on the retired Detailed Trio Punch and dry-embossed with the Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Diamond Shape: (3” x 5”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Hoping your day is perfect, from the retired Sending Sunshine stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the largest Elongated Hexagon die from the Nested Essentials Dies set and then dry-embossed with the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder.
• Focal Image – Beach Sunset Scene: (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using images from both the retired Sending Sunshine and Waterfront stamp sets the scene was created.
  • The Sun was stamped with Crushed Curry ink and then the Water was added with Calypso Coral.  The Foreground and Background images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Clouds were added with retired Blushing Bride ink.  Starry Sky ink was added to the Night Sky with a Blending Brush and a little Crushed Curry color was added to the bottom of the Clouds with a Blender Pen.
  • The Scene was die-cut with the Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and a bit of retired Bumble Bee ribbon was added.  The Elongated Hexagon was popped up with Dimensionals.
