I am ever so pleased to be the guest designer for Krafty Chicks this month. Week One – Stamp Act.

Inspiration: Theme – Heart’s Quest (#33) Best Friends Day; Colors – Colorful Options (July); and Sketch – As You See It (#302).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Vertical Strip: (2¼” x 5¼”) Sweet Sorbet Mini Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper pack.
- Circle Shape – Focal Image: (3”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Woman with Child image from the retired Beautiful Moments stamp set was selectively inked (for the woman only) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped.
- Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool, the Woman in Field image, from the same stamp set, was also added with Memento Black ink.
- The Women were die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- The scene was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors: Hair – Bronze, Skin – Ivory, Dresses – Light and Dark Balmy Blue, Flowers – Light Sweet Sorbet, and Grass – Light Pool Party.
- Sentiment Banner: (2¾” x 1½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiments, You are amazing, dear friend, and Happy Birthday, from the Sentimental Park stamp set were with Memento Black ink.
- The Floral Heart image from the retired Something New To Love stamp set was stamped over the words with 2nd Generation (stamped-off once) Sweet Sorbet ink mimicking the floral pattern in the patterned paper.
- The edges of the Banner were hand cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch for a very nice birthday card for a good friend.

How lovely, Jolanda! The soft red and blue work well together and I like how the dual colours in the background highlight those colours in the image. The soft texture on the card front is a great touch. Thanks for joinin in with us again at As You See It.
