Just A Note

Welcome back!  It is Tuesday and time again for the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday Challenge.  This is a challenge that is set up to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a Sample Card that is found within the pages of Stampin’ Up! Catalogs. 

Today, for challenge (#415), the card sample can be found on page 41.  A lovely card.  My card does not look like the sample, so I thought I would let you know what I copied and what I edited.

Copied: Layout, Floral die-cut element and Centered die-cut greeting.  Edited: Five Cross Strips, Embossed Texture and Gems.

I chose the color palette from Just Add Ink (#659) trading Lemon Lolly for the pink tone.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Coastal Cabana cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3½” x 5”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3⅜” x 4⅞”) Lemon Lolly and Vellum cardstock.
• Decoration in lieu of Cross Strips: (4” x 5½”) Coastal Cabana cardstock die-cut with the Open Outline die from the Petal Patterns Dies set.
  • The die-cut was fussy-cut trimmed with Paper Snips to six rows by four rows of Flowers which is approximately (3⅜” x 4⅞”).
• Wreath Decoration: (4¼” x 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock die-cut with the Wreath die from the Natural Prints Die set.
• Floral Decoration: Lemon Lolly cardstock scrap die-cut with the Small Daisy die from the Dainty Delight Dies set.
• Sentiment Banner: (2¼” x ½”) Coastal cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Just A Note, from the Happy Labels stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shaped Dies set.

All pieces were adhered to the card base.  The Coastal Cabana Floral die-cut was sandwiched between the Lemon Lolly panel and the Vellum overlay to soften the details and allow the other die-cut Decoration pieces to pop.

A very pretty all occasion card.
