Beautiful Butterfly

Another opportunity to play in the Studio.

The Challenges: Can You Handle The Pressure (#34) with an optional Butterfly theme; Color Dare (#554) Tic Tac Toe color option – Peach, Pine and Seabrook (or Stampin’ Up! equivalents); with the Tuesday Morning (#713) Sketch.

Here is the result:

BUTTERFLY BIJOU DSP – BEAUTIFUL THISTLE 0 CYHTP34 – CD554 – TMS713

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pale Papaya cardstock retired (for Peach).
  • Background Panel:
    • (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Evening Evergreen cardstock retired (for Pine)
    • (5⅜” x 1¼”) Strips of a Peach-toned water-colored impression patterned piece of paper from the retired Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The strips were adhered to the Panel and the entire panel was dry-embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Focal Shape – Butterfly: Light Green Butterfly (for Seabrook) die-cut with the coordinating Butterfly Outline die from the retired Brilliant Wings Dies set from the Multi Butterfly patterned piece of paper also from the Butter Bijou Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Butterfly was liberally colored with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush but is hard to see in the photo but looks super pretty.
  • Sentiment Label: (3” x 2”) Vellum cardstock scrap torn.
    • The sentiment, there is something beautiful in every day, from the retired Beautiful Thistle stamp set was stamped with Evening Evergreen ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Butterfly Wings are free to lift and a little extra bling…two light green and peach toned retired Iridescent Pastel Gems were added around the sentiment.

A pretty greeting card.
