Translucent Florals – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  Something new came in the post today…

A sneak peek of an upcoming stamp set: Translucent Florals.  I will be attending a creative get-away later this month and this is the stamp set we will be using.

I just had to give it some ink!  I selected the colors over at TGIF (#423) for a very clean and simple, simple stamped card.  What better way to show off this pretty new stamp set.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mats: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Calypso Coral and Lemon-Lime Twist cardstock.
• All stamping was done on the card front. 
  • The Leaf Stem was stamped with Lemon-Lime Twist ink.Two slender Stems were added, also with Lemon-Lime Twist ink.A series of Mini Flowers were added with Smoky Slate ink.One of the larger Flowers was added with Calypso Coral ink.I also stamped the same Flower again on Masking Paper and cut it out with Paper Snips and covered the first Flower.A second Flower was then stamped.
  • The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.

I off-set the Accent Mats and adhered the completed panel to the card base.

Such dreamy Florals…such pretty colors…so simple…
