Butterfly Thank You

Wow!  It is already Thursday…time just flies.

Playing in the Studio with a few challenges:  Alphabet (Letter E) for an Easel card; so why not, Creative Creases (#58) for Fun Fold cards; selecting the Summer Bright colors suggested by Facebook Colour INKspiration (#144); and bringing it all together with the flipped Try Stampin’ On Tuesday (#609) Sketch and the optional Butterfly theme.

Here is the result:

GARDEN IN BLOOM – FLOWERING TULIPS – ITTY BITTY BACKGROUNDS – Alphabet E – CCC58 – CI144 – TSOT609

Steps:

  • Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 2¾” and 5½”) Basic White Thick cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Lemon Lolly cardstock.
  • Rectangle Accent Mat: (2⅛” x 4⅜”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Rectangle Panel: (2” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.  Create your own patterned paper with Two-Step / Three-Step stamping.
    • The Butterfly Outline image from the retired Garden in Bloom stamp set was randomly stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The Butterfly In-Fill image was stamped with Bubble Bath, Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly and Parakeet Party inks.
    • The Mini Butterfly image was stamped with Berry Burst, Starry Sky, Crushed Curry and Granny Apple Green inks, respectively to add depth to the Butterfly Wings.
    • The Speckled Sprinkle image from the retired Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set was added randomly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Sentiment Accent Mat: (2⅜” x 1⅞”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Sentiment Panel: (2¼” x 1¾”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The circular Thank You sentiment from the retired Flowering Tulips stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Card Inset Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Lemon Lolly cardstock.
  • Easel Tab Accent Mat: (2½” x ⅞”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Easel Tab: (2⅜” x ⅝”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Mini Butterflies were stamped in a row with Parakeet Party, Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath inks.
    • The Butterfly Wings and Bodies were added, by hand-doodling, using my Black Pentel Extra-Fine Tipped Liquid Gel Pen.

All of the elements were adhered to created the Easel card. The Easel Tab was popped up with Dimensionals and three Black Classic Matte Dots were added.

This Thank You card turned out to be really pretty…just stamps, ink and paper. Simple Stamping at its best.
