Fresh as a Daisy – Hello

Happy Sunday…Welcome back! 

Having a play with a couple of challenges: Color Throwdown (#745) and Freshly Made Sketches (#588) for this morning’s card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Granny Apple Green cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
• Split Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Yellow Quatrefoil patterned piece of paper from a San Antonio Travel Brochure and Old Olive Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The pieces were cut on the diagonal.
• Focal Shape: Rectangle: (2” x 2½”) Granny Apple Green cardstock scrap.
  • The greeting, Hello, from the Biggest Wish stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Decoration: Daisies: So Saffron and Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • Four Daisy shapes were punched out with the retired Medium Daisy Punch.
  • Petal Detail was added with the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.
  • The Daisies were stacked and slightly curled with a Bone Folder.
  • The Small Floral Center image from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink and punched out with the retired (⅜”) Circle Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Daisies were popped up with Dimensionals.

A really fresh color combination: yellow, green and white.  Our Shasta Daisies are in full bloom and this year we have added Yellow Daisy style flowers to the garden as well.  So pretty.
