Treasured Medallions in Poppy Parade

This is my first TIC, TAC, TOE Challenge.  Offered up by the Paper Players Team – PP526, gave me lots of creative choices…

How about DIE-CUT, RED and STENCIL?  Or, what about RED, EMBOSSING and SPARKLE?

This is what I came up with…

TREASURED MEDALLIONS – POPPY PARADE – PP526 – THE PAPER PLAYERS

As mentioned in an earlier post, a new box of goodies arrived from Stampin’ Up!.  Having travelled enormously in earlier days, Morocco was a favorite and I am always drawn to the Moorish Mandela shape…it is so exotic and intriguing to me.  I just had to get the Treasured Medallion stamp set. It is beautiful!

For the Die-Cut, I chose the Stitched Shapes Circle Die to support the fussy cut Mandela

For the Red, I chose Poppy Parade.  This such a happy shade of red.

For the Stencil, I went back into my stash and selected the Diamond stencil from the retired Pattern Party Decorative Masks pack because it suited this card idea the best.  I added ink to a Sponge Brayer and laid down the pattern onto a panel of Basic White cardstock.

For the Embossing, I ran the stenciled panel through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for some texture.  This is one of my favorite embossing folders.  The soft linen impression just adds so much to a project.

I stamped the sentiment and the label element onto Vellum as I wanted a gauzy effect.  However, the diamond pattern shining through was quite distracting.  I opted to add a Basic White cardstock layer behind the Vellum piece.  This element was also fussy cut to match the Mandela.

For the Sparkle, who doesn’t like bling?  The Circles and the Points of the Mandela look so pretty dressed up with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels

TIC, TAC, TOE, TOE and TOE…Five elements from the game board.  I really like how this card came together.  Do you?  Share your thoughts with me.

Cheers,  Jolanda!  Thanks for spending some of your day with me,
