Touch of Ink – Thinking of You

For 2021, I am creating a new and different challenge every weekend. This week is a Simple Sketch. 

It has been a busy week for me and I only had time to create one card for this sketch instead of the three I normally make.  My card is a hybrid and would fall under the Step-Up category.

A number of materials were still on my craft table from the card I created yesterday…so I chose to use Touch of Ink and picked some of the colors from the current Colour INKspiration – CI91 challenge.

I started with the absolutely gorgeous Designer Series Paper – True Love.  A Black and White theme with very pretty floral patterns on one side and terrific geometrical patterns on the reverse.

As you can see, I chose the small floral daisy pattern and colored the flowers with Mango Melody, Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  I matched this to a Granny Apple Green piece of card stock which I embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

I stamped the butterfly in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it in with the coordinating colors.  It is hard to see, but the butterfly glistens beautifully as it has been covered in a generous amount of Wink of Stella.  The butterfly is popped up and takes the place of the 1¾” square.

As per the sketch, I kept the layout simple and heat set embossed the sentiment in White.

A pretty pop of bright letting someone know they’re in your thoughts.
