Itty Bitty Christmas – Thinking of You

December 2nd, 2020

Are you ready for Christmas? Have you addressed all your cards? One more…

CASE-ING TUESDAY #280.  I came across this very pretty retired Specialty Designer Series Paper the other day called Springtime Foils.  The floral image reminded me of the winter Amaryllis blooms so popular at Christmas.  I chose this to be my focal image.

I covered the entire piece in a Garden Green watercolor wash.  Once dry, using Stampin’ Blends, I colored the flowers with Real Red and the leaves with Just Jade.

Over at the Global Design Project, this week’s challenge, GDP269, is color:  Real Red, Just Jade and Garden Green.  So this became my color palette for my card.

Following the sketch pattern, my card base is Real Red and I added a little texture using the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  My mat is Garden Green and mimicking the dots in the DSP, I used the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder to add dimension.  The sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas in stamped in Garden Green on Whisper White and die-cut using the Layering Circle Dies.  The sentiment is framed with a Gold Foil die-cut medallion from the Tasteful Labels Dies.  For a little bling, I added a Real Red Ribbon and some Gold Cord under the medallion to finish off the card.

Do you get Amaryllis plants during the holidays?  They are so very pretty and perfect for christmas.

Cheers, Jolanda
